St Mary's Stalls

As usual, all the money raised by the St Mary’s Church Stalls and the volunteers from the congregation and local community will be included with the income from the Carnival Organisers to be distributed among the good causes. So please support these stalls if you can - you will recognise them by the St Mary’s banner prominently displayed.

This year’s stalls include:

The Big Raffle

With St. Mary’s Carnival returning this year in an understandably socially aware form, we will be replacing (for one year only) the Grand Draw, Silent Auction, and Tombola with a “Big Raffle”. We’re usually inundated with prizes from local businesses and individuals – but it’s been a tough year for us all, and so it should be of no surprise that some have
asked for a year’s grace.

Nevertheless, the number of prizes will still be in double figures with several favourites still being generously given.

So please give generously. Please encourage your friends and family to do the same. Who knows, you could be a winner. Good Luck.

Advance purchase of raffle tickets can be made during June at:

  • Janes (Flooring), 4-8 High St. Edlesborough
  • Giblins Property, 2a Wallace Drive, Eaton Bray

Prizes in previous years have included:

  • A weekend for two in Rome
  • Spa and golf vouchers for Luton Hoo
  • A hamper from Vatax
  • Treatment voucher from St Judes
  • Ornamental tree from Grassroots
  • & of course, many other excellent prizes.

The Tea Tent

We are delighted to say the tea tent will be back, in its usual place for this year’s carnival. We are currently thinking of how to incorporate certain measures to ensure we can serve you all with a smile and laugh, whilst keeping you safe. The first thing you will notice as you approach the tent is the introduction of a one-way system. The entrance will be clearly marked and the number of people entering being monitored to avoid over-crowding. As you enter you can select your goodies from the savory and sweet treats available as well as pick up your hot or cold drinks.

You can pay just before exiting the tent. We would love it if you can come by to say hello as well as purchase some yummy goodies but don’t forget to bring cash as we will have no card reader available.
